Stories Carved in Stone
Nairobi's streets are an open-air museum. Our guided walk takes you past the city's most important monuments and colonial-era landmarks — including the Tom Mboya and Dedan Kimathi statues, the Kenyatta Mausoleum area, and historic buildings along Kenyatta Avenue and Kimathi Street — each with a story of Kenya's journey to independence and beyond.
The Nation's Memory
Standing on Moi Avenue, the Kenya National Archives safeguards over 40,000 historical documents and photographs spanning Kenya's colonial and post-independence history. The ground-floor gallery displays traditional artifacts, weapons, instruments, presidential portraits and historic photographs — a compact but fascinating window into Kenya's past.
Nairobi's Iconic Skyline Landmark
The KICC is Nairobi's most recognizable building — a 32-storey tower inspired by a traditional African hut. Take the lift to the rooftop helipad for the best 360° panoramic view of Nairobi: the city skyline, Uhuru Park, and on clear days, the Ngong Hills and Mount Kenya. It's the perfect photo stop on any city tour.
Nairobi's Freedom Park
Uhuru ('Freedom') Park is Nairobi's most famous public park — a green oasis beside the city centre and a symbol of Kenya's democratic struggles, saved from development by Wangari Maathai's protests. Stroll past the lake, the Nyayo-era monuments, and the freedom corner, and watch Nairobians at play — boating, picnicking and relaxing under the jacaranda trees.
